Zhang Bin introduced the major innovative achievements and technologies of Northern Heavy Industries in recent years. He stated that in the mining industry, Northern Heavy Industries adheres to the research and development concept of green mining and digital mining. A number of efficient, energy-saving, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly mining equipment have been launched successively, providing high-end equipment for the transformation and upgrading of China's mining industry; In the field of metallurgy, Northern Heavy Industries continuously breaks through its limits and has completed independent design and research and development of 5-meter and 5.5-meter medium thick plate shearing lines, breaking foreign monopolies and achieving controllable independent production of large-scale shearing equipment; In the field of bulk material handling, Northern Heavy Industries has assisted major national engineering construction with advanced technology, providing the world's first set of soil material anti-seepage automatic mixing system for the construction of the world's tallest dam - Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station dam body, achieving the world's first and world leading technology; In the field of tunnel engineering, Northern Heavy Industries continues to exert efforts and explore new application scenarios of shield tunneling technology, successfully overcoming technical challenges such as the smallest turning radius TBM, deepest vertical shaft TBM, and horizontal inclined integrated variable diameter TBM in China, and achieving new technological breakthroughs in shield tunneling products.
