Mr. Yang Xuesong handed over a table of enterprise operation during the “October 1st” period. It can be seen that the enterprise is working overtime for seven days. “October 1st” has become a “golden week” for us to work overtime. The efficiency has exceeded the usual and the delivery date of key products has been maintained. It is valuable that the power guarantee in these days largely comes from our own photovoltaic power generation. Using clean energy to produce energy-saving products, NHI has achieved “green” results in the golden autumn season. Mr. Yang Xuesong said happily.

Can equipment manufacturing enterprises still generate electricity? It's a new thing. Is it true?

Photovoltaic power generation  New “sideline” of  NHI

Mr. Yang Xuesong gave reporters a statistical table of enterprise photovoltaic power generation: from 0:00 on January 1st, 2021 to 17:00 on September 30, 2021, the photovoltaic power generation of NHI accumulated to 20.9 million kwh. During this period, the enterprise's photovoltaic power consumption was 8.06 million kwh, and another 12.84 million kwh was connected to the grid and provided to the society.

Through photovoltaic power generation, NHI not only uses clean energy itself, but also provides clean electric energy for the society.

NHI is a pioneer in China's equipment manufacturing and enjoys the reputation of “Cradle of China's heavy machinery industry”. It has filled hundreds of national gaps. Many achievements have been made in many fields such as tunnel engineering equipment, mining equipment, metallurgical equipment, bulk material transportation and loading & unloading equipment, coal machinery, electric power equipment, building materials equipment, oil fracturing equipment, environmental protection equipment, modern construction equipment, forging equipment, transmission machinery and so on.

While making outstanding contributions to China's industrialization, how to reduce energy consumption and pollution has always been a social problem for enterprises. In 2017, NHI formulated the green development strategy and took an important measure to take the lead in the new energy project-photovoltaic power generation among Shenyang enterprises.

That year, NHI built photovoltaic facilities on the plant covering an area of nearly 250000 square meters. This project, which invested tens of millions yuan in that year, has produced great efficiency: the average annual power generation is more than 25 million kwh, and the annual surplus power generation is more than 10 million kwh. In recent years, NHI has supplied up to 40 million kwh of power to the Northeast Power Grid. In the past, the large power user has become “power plant” and enterprises have realized self-sufficiency in clean energy.

“Green” strategy  Technology driven products are full of "Green"

At the same time of photovoltaic power generation, NHI has also formulated a product development road integrated with the green concept——improving product quality with the most advanced technology, constantly launching more energy-saving and consumption reducing products to minimize energy consumption.

In recent years, NHI has successively launched energy-saving and environmental protection products such as screw vertical mill, energy-saving and environmental protection ring cooler, self-moving telescopic ring stacker, slag mill and waste incineration power generation equipment, which has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by hundreds of thousands of tons. In addition, a number of new low energy consumption and pollution-free products are being developed and will gradually go to the market. At the site, the reporter saw a product to be sent to customers——screw vertical mill. Mr. Ye long, Dean of NHI Design and Research Institute, told reporters that this product saves 25% energy than traditional products. Based on the conservative market application of 50 units, hundreds of thousands of tons of coal can be saved every year,g reatly reducing environmental pollution.

Ecological concept  Be the forerunner of "double carbon strategy"

At the last stop of the interview, the reporter came to the office of Mr. Zhang Bin, President of NHI, and found that he was reading reports on "carbon neutralization" and "carbon peak".

Enterprises have a lot of work to do. Why do they pay attention to the latest social topics?

"Facing high-quality development and moving towards a new realm of development, enterprises should have social responsibility and forward-looking vision and look for the best business opportunities in the national strategy. At present, the continuous development of China's environment is the general trend. If we combine enterprise development with the general trend of national development, we may create new business opportunities." Mr. Zhang Bin answered the reporter's question.

In paying attention to “carbon neutralization” and “carbon peak”, Mr. Zhang Bin also has a new idea: NHI should incorporate the latest ecological and environmental protection concept into the whole process of enterprise development strategy, product design, manufacturing and market service, and continuously develop and strengthen enterprises in making contributions to “green water and green mountains”.

“We should not only become the guardian of 'green water and green mountains', but also become an important builder of ecological civilization!” Mr. Zhang Bin said with full confidence.
