On the premise of keeping the equipment running smoothly through equipment maintenance, key maintenance surprise, old and waste repair and other methods, NHI personal opened their minds and dig deep into the potential, so that more than 300 sets of old equipment in 10 processing workshops of major component branch plant can be refreshed with new vitality, and promoted the production schedule of products with all our strength.

        Reduce Cost and Increase Efficiency: Concentrate on and Reduce Maintenance

        It is an effective way to reduce cost and increase benefit to improve the daily maintenance of equipment and reduce the time of fault repair. The equipment management was strengthened for efficiency. The Major Component Branch of NHI implemented fine management on equipment, set up equipment management ledger, detailed equipment technical status and maintenance cycle, reasonably arranged equipment operation and maintenance management system, and completed various basic work, strengthened the awareness of participation of equipment operation staff, and strictly implemented the "operation and inspection as integration system" on a daily basis. The records of equipment operation and maintenance were worked as required and professional personnel were organized regularly to train the equipment operators on “operation and inspection as integration system". The detailed explanation of the equipment structure, principle, technical performance and processing application fundamentally eliminated the damage caused by improper use of the equipment and comprehensively improved the understanding of the equipment operators. In addition, strictly checked against the primary maintenance of equipment, change the "constant maintenance” into "constant maintenance ", reduced the rate of equipment failure, ensured the normal operation of equipment, so as to ensure that equipment problems were found early and improve labor efficiency.

        Save Time and Create Efficiency: Concentrate Key and Quick Maintenance

        With the increase of the production tasks, all the equipment in the processing workshops of the major component factories were running at high speed. In order to ensure the delivery of products on schedule, the workshop branch has strengthened the supervision of equipment for the operation of key equipment. The auxiliary workshop set up a number of equipment "commandos" led by key personnel in two teams of fitters and electricians, and kept a close watch on the operation of key equipment distributed in 10 processing areas according to deployment. The problems were solved immediately. Sometimes, due to complex equipment problems, maintenance personnel stick to the equipment for several consecutive days to ensure that the equipment quickly returns to normal operation, to the maximum extent of saving maintenance time and reducing the loss of equipment shutdown. The shutdown rate of the major component branch plant has been reduced for several months, and the key equipment such as 17-meter gantry milling, 10-meter vertical turning and CNC boring machine has been running continuously for 24 hours, and many key product processing tasks have been completed.

        Repair and Recyling : Find Ways to Repair Idle Equipment

        Through small changes and repair, in the case of lack of maintenance funds, the branch workshop used their wits to find ways to quickly repair equipment to ensure the operation of equipment. When catching up the product schedule, it was found that the failed feeding and quick function of the 6-meter vertical lathe in A07 workshop, and the maintenance staff found that the drive of the equipment was damaged through inspection. Its drive brand was Parker. This driver has been delivered from factory for a long time, so many drive maintenance manufacturers cannot repair it and the replacement price was expensive. After careful analysis and comparison, the maintenance personnel finally found the damaged Rexroth drive from the warehouse, which replaced the irreparable Parker drive, and changed the matching motor, so that the equipment can quickly restore operation, saving maintenance costs and downtime. Using the method of adding new fan to transform numerical control 65 lathe overheating alarm, the equipment in the processing of key products worked for several consecutive days for finishing the production schedule. In addition, the engine oil which has passed the inspection after the test run of shield tunneling machine has been reapplied to the medium and small equipment for lubrication for many times. The valuable "golden idea" was actually applied to the equipment maintenance, which not only saved the cost but also catched the precious time for production.

        In the workshop of transmission equipment work plant 1#, there was a vertical shaft and moment table grinding machine introduced in 2009. Due to the problem of device disk adsorption, it stopped to be used in 2010 or so and became idle equipment. Due to the factors of product structure, the production capacity of the surface grinder in the factory was seriously insufficient, the branch decided to restore the use of the equipment, so that it can play its value. Because the equipment has been idle for many years, there were certain safety risks. The auxiliary workshop organized a special person to carry out a comprehensive overhaul of the equipment, repaired hydraulic system, replaced aging hydraulic parts,  facilitated stock and recovered cables for similar other equipment, improved the adsorption capacity of the disk, replaced the equipment cooling system, thoroughly cleaned equipment lubrication and oil tank, and conducted a series of maintenance. Finally, the equipment was put into production again to ensure that the key tasks of the branch factory were completed on schedule.              

        To benefit from equipment, NHI has adopted the principle of "maintenance as the main, repair as the auxiliary". Improve the equipment integrity rate and utilization rate through a number of measures, so that it play the maximum value in the production of new vitality to create a greater value.
