Through the hard work of the staff, recently, Fangda Group NHI successfully completed the assembly and commissioning of belt conveyor drive unit for Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Phase-III Furnace System Project. This is the first supply of Baosteel since the company passed the on-site evaluation of Baosteel's suppliers last year, and also opened a new chapter of cooperation between NHI and Baosteel Group.

In August last year, NHI successfully passed the on-site evaluation of Baosteel's suppliers and signed the contract for Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Phase-III project.

Baoshan Iron and Steel Co, Ltd. is the core subsidiary of China Baowu Iron and Steel Group, the world's leading modern iron and steel complex, ranking first in the comprehensive competitiveness of domestic steel enterprises. The history of cooperation between NHI and Baosteel can be traced back to the 1980s. In the second phase equipment localization construction project of Shanghai Baosteel, NHI has successively produced and supplied belt conveyor, 5000mm wide and thick plate cold and hot leveler, 1580mm strip leveling and coiling, finishing and shearing line, etc. with an accumulated output value of more than 100 million yuan, creating a good reputation and making contributions to the construction and development of Baosteel.

The construction of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Base is an important strategic deployment of Baosteel and one of its four major bases in China. After passing the supplier evaluation, within one month, NHI signed contract for stacker & reclaimer, drum mixer and other equipment in Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel phase III project, with a total amount of 22 million Yuan. At the same time, Baosteel as the industry benchmark, its supplier management system and risk control measures are regarded as a successful model by many users. Pass Baosteel's evaluation, it has produced a good demonstration effect on the orders such as Liugang etc, and played an important role in promoting NHI to restore its market reputation, win the trust of customers and return to the industry leader.

Epidemic Prevention & Control and Production Are Both Hands-On

Since the beginning of the year, the inspiration of Fangda group's benevolent deeds has stimulated a strong enthusiasm for production. More than 1000 employees of NHI have given up the rare opportunity to reunite with their families during the Spring Festival. While fighting against the epidemic, they stick to their jobs and strive for time to rush to work.

In February this year, NHI fully restored to work and production, with a return rate of 100%. The majority of cadres and staff turned pressure into power. While grasping various prevention and control work, they devoted themselves to the production of key projects, such as Taizhou Railway TBM project, Jiujiang Pingsteel shear, Anhui Conch Stacker & Reclaimer, Guizhou Dushan Stacker & Reclaimer, etc.

How to keep the promise under the severe test of the epidemic situation, Zhang Guoliang, director of Metallurgical & Power Station Equipment Workshop of NHI, said: "only when we put users in our hearts and respect them all the time, which make users trust us." In the assembly workshop, the annular cooler manufactured for Lingyuan Iron and Steel Company entered the final trial assembly stage.

In combination with the practice of centralized production of key products such as Shandong Taishan Semi-rock Coal TBM, Anshan Iron and Steel Gyratory Crusher, Xintai Grate and other key products, NHI Large Component Machining Workshop organized and carried out the labor competition of "Ensuring the delivery time, upgrading the production capacity, and improving the work efficiency", which raised a new round of production.

United Together, Complete the Assembly and Commissioning of Baosteel's Drive Device

Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co, Ltd phase-III Furnace system project has been listed as a key project by NHI, which will be manufactured by the Bulk Material Handling Equipment Workshop etc. The product structure of the project is various, the production time is tight, and the quality requirements are also very strict, which brings severe tests to the workshop. The Bulk Material Handling Equipment Workshop conscientiously implements the production plan and organizes the orderly production of each workshop. The assembly workshop undertakes the assembly and commissioning of the driving device of the last process. Facing the problems of tight time and heavy task, the director of the workshop held mobilization meetings for many times, calling on everyone to carry forward the spirit of taking the factory as the home, shorten the construction period under the condition of ensuring the quality, and complete the production task according to the requirements. As the assembly and commissioning process of the drive device involves many types of components, the assembly and commissioning work can only be completed after the structural parts, machining parts and supporting parts are complete. The branch plant and workshop first carried out precise deployment, actively communicated with the relevant departments, made clear when each component arrived at the assembly site, and then arranged the operation area to plan the assembly and commissioning work sequence as a whole to make work plan according to production plan node. Although the production cycle is tight, working principle of reducing cost and increasing efficiency is always in the heart of every employee. The assembly of driving device needs to use a large number of standard parts. Workers are not afraid of trouble. They can actively use the standard parts in stock by looking through the account book and inventory, so as to save costs for the company. In the production process, as long as the parts are equipped with the conditions for assembly and debugging, the worker will not delay for a minute. They often work late at night and try their best to shorten the delivery time. With the efforts of everyone, the assembly and commissioning of all drive devices are completed efficiently.
